Overview
BoastImage provides SMS notifications to help external project collaborators stay informed about important project updates. This policy explains how we handle SMS notifications and your phone number.
Opt-In Process
External project collaborators may opt in to receive project update notifications via SMS. The opt-in process requires:
- Accepting the Project Invitation - You must first accept an invitation to collaborate on a project.
- Authentication and Access Code Verification - You must pass the proper authentication and access code verification process.
- Explicit Opt-In - After verification, you can choose to opt in to SMS notifications for that specific project.
SMS notifications are entirely optional and require your explicit consent. You will never receive SMS messages without your prior opt-in.

What We Use Your Phone Number For
We use phone numbers solely and exclusively for sending project update notifications. We do not:
- Use phone numbers for marketing or promotional purposes
- Share phone numbers with third parties
- Use phone numbers for any purpose other than project notifications
- Store phone numbers for any purpose beyond delivering the notifications you’ve opted into
Message Frequency
You will only receive SMS notifications when:
- There are updates to projects you’ve opted in to receive notifications for
- Important project-related activities occur (e.g., new comments, task assignments, status changes)
Message frequency varies based on project activity and your notification preferences. You control which projects you receive notifications for.
Opting Out
You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS message you receive
- Contacting the project owner to remove SMS notifications for your phone number
- Updating your notification preferences in the project settings (if available)
Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS notifications for that project. You can opt back in at any time by going through the opt-in process again.
Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan. We are not responsible for any charges you may incur from your mobile carrier.
Supported Carriers
SMS notifications are available through standard SMS carriers. Delivery may vary depending on your carrier and location.
Data Security
We take the security of your phone number seriously. Phone numbers are encrypted in transit and stored securely. Access to phone numbers is limited to personnel who need it to deliver notifications, and all access is logged and monitored.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this SMS Notification Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of SMS notifications after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
